Traynor shook his head, but took her card when she offered it.
'Mobile's on the back,' she said.

     'I wasn't lonely there - hard to know if stuff outnumbered (to be greater in number than someone or something) patients or vice versa.'  He took a sip from cardboard cup


The café opened onto the hospital's central concourse (a large space or room in a public building such as a station or airport).


There was a shop across the way, people queuing (queue, a line of people standing and waiting for something) for sweets and crisps.

Further along, another concession (the space allotted for subsidiary business within certain premises) specializing in in health foods was doing no trade at all.

Who? The David Dickinson (is a television presenter, antique expert and entrepreneur of Armenian descent) lookalike (something or a someone very similar in physical appearance to someone or something else)?
