'What's her course?' Clarke added.

     'Which year is she?'


Her chest rose and fell almost imperceptibly (unable to be noticed or felt because of being very slight).

'She's sore (painful and uncomfortable because of injury) all over.'

'Wimbledon (a district of southwest London).'


'So you've been awake all night and half of today? Might be you could use some shut-eye (to sleep) yourself.'
